About us
Whilst looking for a ruin to develop in Central Portugal we stumbled upon a small hidden valley of olive tree terraces along the Cabril lake which had remained untouched for over 60 years. It sits within a protected Eco zone of wildlife interest.
We immediately fell in love with the land, impressed by its vivid colours, bird song, neighboring eagles and picturesque lake. The experience of living in nature by the lake Cabril has been both life changing and rewarding, with many benefits to health including having our own spring water source and enjoying home and locally grown fresh food.
We would like to extend this opportunity to guests seeking a retreat from day to day living. At Lakeview yurt retreat we can offer a welcoming and secluded space with delicious vegetarian/ vegan food and eco amenities so that you can relax, rest and rejuvenate within the tranquility of the cabril lake.
