All amenities here at Lakeview Yurt Retreat have been designed to minimize environmental impact, and as we are in a designated eco zone you can be sure of an genuine eco friendly yurt holiday.

We use solar power and wind power for all our electricity needs and have a unique compost toilet with an amazing view over the lake. Opposite the compost toilet, on our sunniest terrace, you will find the solar hot water shower. The shower will provide enough hot water for 2 people for about 10 minutes each, this is backed up by a wood fired hot water heater for those ' no sun' days!

Behind the willow yurt near the waterfall you will find a small summer kitchen area complete with gas oven, grill and stove and a sheltered seating area. We find this area a lot cooler during the mid-day heat and can be a nice place to relax and just listen to the trickling sound of water!

We do try to maintain a balance with nature here and therefore request that you only bring eco-friendly toiletries with you. A small selection of these will be for sale upon your arrival.
