the oak yurt

The oak yurt has been hand made using locally sourced wood right here in Central Portugal by our friends at Larfin Yurts. This yurt is slightly smaller than the willow yurt, being 12ft in diameter, yet still plenty of room for two people. Perched on a higher terrace than the willow yurt, the oak yurt affords a stunning view of the lake and the early morning sunrise!

The oak yurt is available from the 1st April until the end of October.

inside the yurt

The interior of the yurt consists of a comfy double bed, clothes wardrobe and been bag sofa, lighting is provided by two LED spotlights. The oak yurt also has a see-through crown cover so you can lie in bed and gaze at the stars and a side window offering great views over the lake.

outside the yurt

The oak yurt is situated on a terrace above the willow yurt and still offers privacy from other guests. Overlooking the lake, the oak yurt is beautifully nestled between two oak trees which help to provide some shade during summer. The lake is accessible from the yurt by a short rocky path. Outside and around the back of the yurt you will find a breakfast table with sun shade and a garden bench, great for either enjoying the sunrise or just relaxing on and watching the lake
